What a show! The U7 players from Eagles Football Academy put on quite a display in the ELE League, last weekend: they scored 8 goals between them, but only enough for one win.

EFA U7 East – Aldersbrook 4-3
“This was a game to remember for our young eagles! We scored three goals from impressive individual plays and that took us well in front. But the second half brought a change of attitude, maybe with tiredness kicking in as well. We were equalised, but pulled it through with a late goal! This is a win that brings solid morale to the squad”, said our coach.

While the Eastern team emerged victorious, the Northern squad conceded 5 goals in the game. Can you believe that? All the goals we conceded came from the PENALTY SPOT!However, coach Daniel Desai had reasons to be pleased with the overall performance .

The circumstances were far from ideal and that left us with a bitter taste at the end. “This was the first time this squad played together. We started the game really strong, but lost our focus later on. It was an intimidating atmosphere around the pitch, which is not something we wish for children at this age. We conceded only from penalties that were very easily awarded. It was a frustrating result, because the Eagles surely deserved the win. It’s a pity”
