The Holiday of Eagles Football Academy Kids Through Fairytale Places in Romania
For a week, the children of Eagles Football Academy enjoyed a dream vacation in Romania, thanks to the Development of Education and Promotion of Romanian Sport project approved by the Department for Romanians Abroad.
The project, worth 399,913 lei, took place from October 22 to October 29.
As part of this project, the children from Eagles Football Academy received transportation, accommodation, meals, sports equipment, specific items, and promotional materials to enhance and develop their sports and educational levels within our academy.
Our visit to Romania began in Bucharest, where we were welcomed at the Palace of the Parliament and the “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum.
We then visited Dino Park in Râșnov and explored the mysteries of Bran Castle, known for its connection to Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula.
The holiday continued with a trip to the Dâmbovicioara Cave, followed by a visit to Peleș Castle in Sinaia, where the children had an interesting journey through the recent history of Romania and the Royal Family.
They enjoyed the local beauty and the splendor of the summer residence of the Romanian kings.
The visit to Romania ended with a surprise trip to the Bear Sanctuary in Zărnești, a place where the children could see bears rescued from captivity and cared for in a magical setting by the Millions of Friends Association. On the last day, the children stopped at Brașov Fortress, where they were thrilled by a spectacular cable car ride up Mount Tâmpa.
We thank the Department for Romanians Abroad for giving the children of Eagles Academy the opportunity to experience the beauties of their homeland, as well as those of their parents and grandparents!
