Eagles Football Academy had the honor of receiving a visit from Radu Drăgușin, the Romanian defender of Tottenham Hotspur and the Romanian National Team

Drăgușin spoke to the children about his professional journey, emphasizing the importance of discipline, determination, and passion for football: “I am proud to see so many children who love football. I started with the desire to become a professional player and be happy in this role. But motivation alone is not enough; you have to work very hard and make sacrifices. You have to accept that you cannot have a normal teenage life. If you do this and respect football, it will reward you.

He shared personal experiences from his career, from his beginnings in Romania to his current performances in the Premier League, one of the most competitive leagues in the world. He spent time interacting with the young players, offering technical advice, and answering their curious questions. The children had the opportunity to receive autographs and take photos with their star.

Gabi Dumitru, coach and founder of Eagles Football Academy, stated: “Radu Drăgușin’s visit was a real gift for our children. It was wonderful to see how a player of Radu’s caliber can inspire and motivate our young athletes. We hope his message will drive them to follow their dreams with even more passion.

Radu told the children about the period when he was teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus and how it inspired him to improve his game: “The time spent alongside Ronaldo at Juventus will never be forgotten. It marked and motivated me when I had a living example to follow. The way he trained and played made you understand how he reached the level of the best in the world.

Thank you, Radu, for your visit and for inspiring our young footballers! We are proud of you and wish you much success in the future!
