Important personalities attended the meeting, including the Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom, Her Excellency Mrs. Laura Popescu, the Consul General Robert Marin, Gheorghe Cârciu, State Secretary of the Department for Romanians Abroad, Victor Ionescu, representative of the DRP, and Radu Cosma, project director within the DRP.
“I was pleasantly impressed by the desire for support, help, and guidance from the representatives of the Romanian government for the diaspora,” said Gabi Dumitru, General Manager of Eagles Football Academy.
Additionally, on Saturday, the coaches and children of Eagles received a visit from these distinguished guests at the training base in Burnt Oak.
“We were visited by these wonderful people, who are important personalities in the Romanian community,” noted Gabi Dumitru.
The Romanian officials attended the Eagles training session, after which the minister spoke to both parents and children.
“I want to thank the minister and all those who visited us on Saturday. We hope that in the future, the Eagles Academy and the entire Romanian community in London will be supported both morally and financially, to bring joy to those who have been far from home and their families for many years,” added the General Manager of the academy.
We thank all those who thought of us and the oldest project of education through sports that Eagles Football Academy offers to Romanian children in London.
