Another great game played by our EFA U8 squad, against Nutmeg FC. We faced a quality opponent, with a good passing game, but the “little eagles” had that extra bit of quality that took us over the finish line. Coach Daniel Walsh was very proud of his lads after the weekend matchday: “This was a big game for us, after winning our first game as a group last weekend. We continued our excellent form into this game. From the first minute we controlled the game, pressing as a unit and keeping the ball well in tight spaces was our strengths.
Four goals from Timotei helped us on our way to a very convincing win. In the second half we continued how we started, pressing high and winning the ball high up the pitch. Defensively we were very strong, breaking up their counter attacks on a number of occasions, but overall it was a strong performance from the boys. We look to continue our form into next week and try to get three wins on the bounce”, said our U8 coach. Well done!

Încă un meci excelent al echipei U8 de la Eagles Football Academy, împotriva lui Nutmeg FC! Am întâlnit un adversar de calitate, cu un joc bun de pase, dar “micii vulturi” au avut un plus de calitate care ne-a ajutat să terminăm meciul cu bine. Antrenorul Daniel Walsh s-a declarat mândru de prestația copiilor:
“A fost un meci mare pentru noi, după ce am câștigat primul joc în noua formulă, weekend-ul trecut. Am continuat forma excelentă de etapa trecută și asta ne bucură. Am controlat meciul din primul minut, cu un pressing colectiv eficient, am menținut posesia pe spațiile mici și acesta a fost un mare avantaj. Cele patru goluri marcate de Timotei ne-au ajutat să ne desprindem pe tabelă!
În repriza a doua am continuat așa cum am început jocul, cu pressing agresiv în jumătatea adversă. În defensivă am fost puternici și am reușit să oprim contraatacurile lor de multe ori. Sperăm să continuăm la fel și săptămâna viitoare și să bifăm trei victorii la rând!”, a declarat antrenorul de la Eagles. Felicitări jucătorilor pentru prestația lor excepțională!
